What is Reiki?
:
Reiki is a non-intrusive, hands-on form of natural healing. Pronounced
'ray-key,' the term Reiki is a combination of two Japanese words. Rei, the first,
can be
translated as 'universal' or 'boundless.'
The second
word, Ki, refers to the life force. Thus, the combination of the two words produces
Rei-Ki which means 'universal life energy.'

Our gala Psychic Fairs, held on the first
Saturday of each month, feature a variety of psychic / Intuitive readers
offering one-on-one 15 minute consultations. At 12:00 p.m., a half-hour
before the readings start, ticket sales numbers are distributed on
a first come-first served basis, which will then be used to schedule
the actual appointments for the readings. Thereafter, ticket sales
appointments will be made on a walk-in basis.

About Elizabeth Dale
Liz is a native of St. Petersburg, FL and a member of the Temple
of the Living God, where she works in the bookstore and also participates
in other programs including outreach and the music program. She is
a Second Degree Reiki Practitioner who has been studying metaphysical
and esoteric science for many years.
Afternoon
Tea with the Medium
All of us have experienced the loss of a loved one after the death of
the physical body. The feelings that follow can be overwhelming and the
experience of grief and loss can be devastating.
We search for comfort and guidance and want confirmation that our loved
ones are safe on the other side, and that they know that we love and
miss them.
There are those that are a conduit to the spiritual realm. Diane Basing
is a medium and a psychic with practices in Denver, CO., Tacoma, WA.
and now here in the Tampa Bay area.
During this very personal and informative afternoon session, she will
present a short lecture explaining how to recognize the ‘signs’ that
tell you that your loved ones are close, and that they can hear you when
you speak to them; and also deliver messages from the other side that
provide enlightenment and comfort from the spiritual realm.
Everyone who attends will have the opportunity to ask Diane a question.
Please bring a personal item that belonged to the person in the spiritual
realm with whom you wish to connect. This afternoon will surely

In “Wellness in Five Arenas” Ronalda
will define Wellness, provide brief descriptions of the five arenas and
explain how, together,
they relate to overall spiritual wellness.
In her afternoon workshop, Ronalda will expand on the concept of wellness
by offering simple and useful ways to measure our present connections
in the physical, emotional, mental and cognitive arenas. Drawing upon
her extensive medical and nursing experience, she will highlight relevant
and practical pointers for increasing our current levels of wellness
to what is desired, and through a lively, interactive discussion with
those attending, build a comprehensive ‘spiritual wellness model.’

Biography:
As a senior student nurse, Ronalda recognized a deep passion to help
well persons stay well. Over the course of a long career that included
practicing nursing in several states, adding even more states to that
list as an Army Nurse Corps officer and through challenging service
in Critical Care Units in both military and civilian capacities, that
same
passion remained strong and sustained her. Today she serves as the
Assistant Director of the Pinellas County Health Department, offering
her forty
years of experience to 952,000+ Pinellas residents. Her specialty areas
as a Nurse Practitioner in Public Health include education, counseling
and therapy about Wellness and Human Sexuality. Ronalda and her husband
Ashby have been members of the Temple of the Living God since 1994 and
with their 11 year old son Leon, have been actively involved in church
activities.

Development
We invite those persons who
are looking for a group in which to explore and share their psychic/
intuitive gifts. We gather the 3rd
Thursday of each month. We meditate and practice our intuitive and
psychic skills and learn from each other. For the September session, bring
a pendulum and a deck of cards that you have worked with.

* The Prayer Ministry All requests for prayer
are honored by a dedicated group of individuals who are committed to the
power of prayer and who include those
requests in their personal prayer work. Requests can be placed in the Prayer
Chest kept in the Temple lobby. In addition, during a special
healing part of each Sunday, members of the congregation focus specifically
on
the requests contained in the Prayer Chest.
* Chaplain Services A chaplain is available following
service each Sunday for prayer, to hold sacred space, and to listen and hold
what is shared in strictest confidence.
Prayer can also be requested by phone.
* Reiki Energy Healing Once each month following
service, practitioners of this gentle form of energy healing offer individual
30 minute treatment sessions.
Reiki, which means “Universal Life Force” in Japanese, is a powerful,
yet gentle form of healing work and is even being practiced in many
medical and hospice settings.
* Divine Healing Once each month, a part of Sunday
service is devoted specifically to the healing needs of the congregation.
Several practitioners of healing
arts offer individually prayer and hands on healing to each
person who comes forth during
this special part of the service. It is not necessary to state a need or
request; it is only necessary to be open to the healing process.
The
Healing Touch
(Spiritual Laying-On-Of-Hands)
You are invited to avail yourself of the assistance of healing practitioners
immediately following our 11:00 a.m. Sunday morning service. Also, on
the last Sunday of each month at 12:30 p.m., half-hour one-on-one Reiki
Healing sessions are offered. (Advance phone-in appointments are acceptable.)
Spiritual healing is an experience that invites us to discover our connection
to God, the Universal Life Force that is ever-present within us! Come,
and allow the breath of Spirit to ignite Its holy flame anew, experience
the (re)-connection, experience the transformation!
At the human level of our nature, we are often frustrated by the conditions
of things that are not as they should be. Perhaps our bodies weaken,
we encounter an illness or develop a disease. Our life’s circumstances
may change; take a turn that is detrimental or challenging because of
factors beyond our control. Perhaps we are suddenly faced with a loss
of employment, or we are in a relationship that is no longer tenable,
or whatever. We need help. We need healing.
In an ultimate sense, all healing is spiritual healing. That is, all healing
is of God, whether the focus is through a medical doctor, a physical therapist,
a counselor, or any of the many alternate forms of healing, or a minister of
healing.
Healing practitioners serve as focal points, or channels for the influx of healing
energies. Individually their certification may be for any of a number of different
alternative healing modalities, such as Magnetic Healing, Reflexology, Kinesiology,
Rolfing, Therapeutic Touch, Reiki, Chi Kung, Psychic Healing, Huna, or Charismatic
Healing, to name but a few. It is important not to mistake the means for the
end. That is, the focus of every server is on the healing need/objective of each
person, not the server’s individual background of training. We repeat, all healing is of God.
However, as is written in the Bible, “Physician heal
thyself,” (Luke
4:23) … we hold the secret key to the Sacred within ourselves. As the supplicant,
it is our emotional/mental (internal) state, forgiveness of conditions, self
and others, and receptivity to Holy Spirit, Universal Life Force that truly manifests
the healing.
When we open ourselves to experience a healing, we thereby enter into a unique
relationship with our own Higher Selves and our larger natures. And that relationship
changes to accommodate the inflow of healing energies. We open ourselves to be
renewed, recharged, and available (permissive) to new forces for growth mentally,
spiritually and physically.

Our Mass Healing Services
focus on the healing experience. As such, the direction and purpose
is for the assembly to facilitate “miracles” of
healing as each person attunes to the Divine Power within and opens their
consciousness for the inflow of that Energy which renews and restores,
which removes blocks, and thus balances the mental/emotional, physical,
and spiritual dimensions of their being.
These are audience participation, experiential “happenings” to
facilitate healing in a variety of formats. The laying-on-of hands is
followed by a guided
visualization meditation. We focus on the power of prayer and the inner witnessing
of self-focus on the power of prayer and self-forgiveness. Together we create
an environment of Absolute Love. You are invited. Come, be your own miracle
